TELE-HEALTH TECHNICIAN PROGRAM

In recent years, significant steps have been taken in Turkey—under the leadership of the Ministry of Health—toward the implementation of telehealth systems. Applications such as the Telemedicine System, Remote Imaging Services, Remote Diabetes Monitoring, and e-Nabiz have been introduced. However, for these systems to be used effectively, safely, and widely, there is a substantial need for mid-level healthcare personnel who are not only proficient in health informatics but also trained in patient communication, digital device usage, and remote healthcare protocols.

The Telehealth Technician Program aims to train technical personnel equipped with the knowledge, skills, and ethical awareness specific to this new and developing field.

In an increasingly digital world, the way healthcare services are delivered is undergoing a profound transformation, with telehealth (telemedicine) applications gaining growing importance. Telehealth is a healthcare service model that delivers services such as remote diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and consultation through information and communication technologies. It also provides rapid and sustainable solutions in special situations such as pandemics, natural disasters, and chronic disease management.

Telehealth personnel (telemedicine/telehealth personnel) are professionals working in a rapidly growing field that delivers healthcare services remotely through technological tools. Career opportunities in this area are extensive and continue to expand as technology becomes increasingly integrated with healthcare.

With sufficient experience and complementary training, graduates can pursue career paths as Telehealth Consultants/Nurses, Telemedicine Coordinators, Remote Patient Monitoring Specialists, Digital Health Educators, Health Technology Consultants/Instructors, or work in freelance health consulting roles.
