The aim of Food Technology Program is to raise labor power who will have theoretical and practical knowledge in the area of food security, food regulation, physical,chemical and microbiologic quality control of foods, food processing and the composition of raw materials and foods. This man power will also be able to work with the title of -Food Technician- in quality control laboratories and food industry.

The food sector is a basic need for healthy, safe and high quality production of food products and for human nutrition. Today, the production of sustainable, healthy, practical, safe and easily accessible foods is gaining importance day by day. For this reason, the need for qualified personnel in the field of food maintains its importance and there is a need for specialized individuals in each sub-branch of food.

The students who have successfully graduated from the FOOD TECHNOLOGY may apply to Bachelor's (First Cycle) Degree programmes in or related fields the field of FOOD TECHNOLOGY in Turkish universities via Vertical Transfer Exam organised by OSYM and directly apply to a further study abroad

It may be a suitable choice for those who are interested in the production, design, inspection of food products or the physical, chemical and microbiological laboratory applications of food, who want to take part in the production of sustainable food products that will protect public health, and who have innovative ideas about the production of new food R&D products.
