TURKISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE

In the academic year of 2016-2017, Tourism Guidance Department was established in the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences. The language of education, which is Turkish, continues its education and training activities with its expert and professional academic staff and rich course contents such as Tourism Guidance, History, Archeology, Economics, Human Resources, Hotel Management, European Union and Tourism within the framework of four-year license plan. The purpose of Tourism Guidance Department to each student who completes four years of undergraduate education, to gain informations and skills in the fields such as Tourism and Tourist concepts, International Tourism and Turkey Tourism, Tourism Law, Hotel Management, Definition of Archeology, History at the same time prepare and train like a qualified, innovative, entrepreneur, competetive human resources. 

In the globalizing world, people travel more and more every day to satisfy their curiosity about different countries and cultures, to relax and have fun. The qualifications of tourist guides who will guide tourists on these trips and convey the history and culture of the region to them come to the fore. The existence of well-equipped guides who have adapted to the changing order of the world and technology will appear as a profession that maintains its importance in the coming years.

Students who have graduated from the Tourism Guidance Department as a Tourist Guide, have the opportunity to work in public, private and international organizations. They can work as an independent tourist guide, travel guide, travel agency manager, travel agency information officer, middle and top level manager in tourism businesses. Students who think and succeed in their academic career will also have the opportunity to pursue academic career. In addition, graduates who have a master's degree in Educational Sciences have the opportunity to become vocational teachers in secondary schools.
