Application Process


 
APPLICATION PROCESS


Dear Prospective Students,
 
   First of all, thank you for choosing Istanbul Gelisim University, International student admissions at our university are carried out by the International Student Office. Before starting the application process, please make sure that you have prepared an electronic copy of the following documents in PDF format:
 
For Undergraduate-Associate Degree Applications:

Copy of your passport (personal information page)
Copy of your high school diploma (if you are in the last year of high school, an official letter from the high school administration stating your status)
- High school official transcript
- Maximum 1 page motivation letter (Not Compulsory)
  

For Undergraduate-Associate Degree Final Registration:

 For Postgraduate Applications:

- Copy of your passport (personal information page)
- Photocopy of undergraduate diploma (if you are in the last year of undergraduate, an official letter from the administration stating your status)
- Official transcript of the license
Maximum 1 page motivation letter (Not Compulsory)
Students who will apply for a PhD program must upload both their undergraduate and graduate documents to the system

The steps and process for international students who wish to apply to Istanbul Gelisim University are as follows:
 
1. Check the minimum acceptance criteria for Istanbul Gelisim University (
https://international.gelisim.edu.tr/en/page/igu-eligibility-criterias). If your diploma grade does not meet the criteria set by our university, you must take the YÖS exam. The YÖS exam will not prevent you from registering.

2. Fill out the application form at (
https://onkayit.gelisim.edu.tr/On_Kayit_Yabanci_ Uyruk.aspx) and follow your application process with your passport/application number through the tracking system.

3. Your conditional acceptance letter will be uploaded to the student tracking system by Istanbul Gelisim University International Student Office within 2-5 working days.

4. Make the deposit of the amount specified in your conditional acceptance letter and upload the receipt to the system from the "Upload Receipt" tab in the tracking system.

5. Within 5-10 business days, payment approval will be given from the Finance Department of Istanbul Gelisim University and your acceptance and visa letters will be uploaded to the same system by the International Student Office.

6. Apply for a study visa at the T.C. Consulate / Embassy in your country.

7. Enter Turkey with your study visa, visit the Student Affairs office in the Rectorate Building of Istanbul Gelisim University with the necessary documents for final registration and complete your registration and visit the International Student Office to apply for health insurance and residence permit.

8. Take the Language Proficiency Exam.

9. Check your course schedules from your OBIS System.
